At Grove RFC, our U12s take their first steps into Junior rugby. For ages 11–12 (School Year 7), this is an exciting stage with bigger pitches, more teamwork and new rules.
What to Expect at U12
- Full contact rugby, building on safe tackling skills
- Scrums and lineouts developed further
- Boys and girls play separately from this stage
- Grove partners with local clubs to ensure girls have competitive training and match opportunities
Why Parents Value U12
Children become more independent, learn resilience and responsibility, and enjoy being part of a supportive Junior squad. It’s the bridge between Minis and full Junior rugby.
Head coach Steve has been with the team for several years, building a strong foundation of success and winning tournaments such as the 2024 Defender Cup, and tournaments hosted by Leicester Tigers and Harlequins.
