From Year 7 through Sixth Form, Grove RFC near Wantage, Oxfordshire, provides a clear rugby pathway for teenage boys — safe, structured and welcoming.
The Pathway
U12 (Year 7): First year of Juniors — 12-a-side rugby with scrums, lineouts and kicking introduced.
U13–U14 (Years 8–9): Full-pitch 15-a-side rugby with contested scrums and lineouts.
U15–U16 (Years 10–11): Competitive Oxfordshire RFU league and cup rugby, plus regional festivals and tours.
U17–U18 (Colts): The final stage before Senior rugby — fast, physical rugby with full laws applied. Players compete in leagues, cups and showcase matches, preparing for adult rugby.
