Grove RFC, based in Grove near Wantage, Oxfordshire, provides a clear and structured rugby pathway for players from Year 7 through Sixth Form (U12–U18). We welcome families from Grove, Wantage, Didcot, Faringdon, Abingdon and across the Vale of White Horse, offering competitive and supportive youth rugby in a safe club environment.

The Junior Rugby Pathway at Grove RFC

Our youth programme develops skills, confidence and resilience while preparing players for senior rugby.

U12 (Year 7)
The first year of Juniors. 12-a-side rugby with scrums, lineouts and kicking introduced under RFU Age Grade guidelines.

U13–U14 (Years 8–9)
Full-pitch 15-a-side rugby with contested scrums and lineouts, helping players grow in confidence and tactical understanding.

U15–U16 (Years 10–11)
Competitive Oxfordshire RFU league and cup rugby, plus regional festivals and tours that build team identity and experience.

U17–U18 (Colts)
The final stage before Senior rugby — fast, physical rugby played under full laws. Colts players compete in leagues, cups and showcase fixtures while preparing for the transition into adult rugby at Grove RFC.
