Grove RFC, based in Grove near Wantage in South Oxfordshire, heads into a huge weekend of rugby with both senior men’s teams playing in important knockout fixtures. With junior rugby continuing on Sunday and training across the club, players and supporters from Grove, Wantage, Didcot, Abingdon and the wider Vale of White Horse will be following two key matches away from home.

Senior Rugby – Oxfordshire Shield Final Day

It is a massive weekend for Grove RFC with two senior sides involved in important cup fixtures.

The 1st XV face local rivals Faringdon in the Oxfordshire Shield Final. After strong performances throughout the season, Grove will be looking to finish the campaign with silverware. Matches between these sides are always competitive and support from the Grove community will make a difference.

Grove II XV vs Bracknell IV
Counties 4 Plate Semi Final
Venue: Bracknell
Kick off 1.30pm

The 2nd XV travel to Bracknell for their Counties 4 Plate Semi Final. The squad has shown strong commitment throughout the season and will be looking to continue that momentum with a place in the final at stake.

Ladies Rugby

The Grove and Faringdon Ladies train together on Wednesday evening at Faringdon. There is no fixture this weekend, giving the squad time to continue building skills and preparation ahead of upcoming matches.

Sunday Rugby – Mother’s Day at Grove RFC

Sunday 15 March is Mother’s Day and there will still be plenty of rugby activity at the club.
