Dusting off the boots after Christmas, the Juniors and Minis return this weekend.

This Week at Grove RFC – Christmas to New Year Update

As we move through the Christmas period and into the New Year, here’s what’s happening across Grove RFC at Recreation Lane.

Senior Men’s Rugby

Both the 1st XV and 2nd XV have an additional rest week — a chance to work off the Christmas turkey before league action resumes.

The 1st XV return to competitive rugby on Saturday 10th January, travelling to Didcot as the second half of the season gets underway.

Ladies Rugby

The Ladies continue to train together through the festive period, building towards their next fixture on 25th January.
Training remains open to new players — whether returning to rugby or trying the game for the first time as part of a New Year fitness goal.

Juniors & Mini Rugby

U14s make the short trip to Witney RFC, looking to start the New Year in the same strong form that saw them go unbeaten into Christmas. A tough and entertaining match is expected.

All other Mini and Junior teams are training as normal from 10:00am on Sunday at Recreation Lane, Grove, OX12 0FL.

Clubhouse & Bar

The clubhouse bar is open as usual throughout the weekend, showing live sport from Sky Sports and TNT Sports.
A perfect place to relax, catch the sport, and meet friends over the festive period.

Pre-Match Lunch Update

Dates for the President’s Pre-Match Lunch for the remainder of the season have now been confirmed.
