Saturday’s Grove Wantage Extravaganza
My thanks and appreciation to everyone who helped at last Saturday’s Grove Wantage Extravaganza – on the bar, food, stalls, preparation, car parking, cleaning and tidying up, litter picking, everyone. A fantastic effort from the whole club and which, from the emails and phone calls I’ve received since Saturday, is appreciated by all who attended.
The Extravaganza serves two main purposes, namely a social event for our community and fund raising. As far as the first is concerned, it was a major success and has greatly enhanced our standing in the community, with everything being well organised, reflecting the preparation and effort you’ve all put into it. We came across to everyone that we are a friendly, polite, helpful and well organised club, which we are, who accept our responsibility to our local community and is something which is so, so important for our future development.
Paul Walsh will reveal, in the next few days, the final figure we made from the event, but I know it’s considerably better than last year, so success here also.
A great and enjoyable day for Grove RFC.
Well done and many thanks
