In 2012, the Queen Elizabeth Diamond Jubilee committee produced a great day of fun and entertainment at Cane Lane, Grove in which thousands from the local community took part. By common consent a great day was had by all.

On 20 August 2016, Grove RFC wish to rekindle the spirit of that day and present :-


“Grove and Wantage
Extravaganza”
at the Recreation Ground, Cane Lane, Grove.

A DAY OF ENTERTAINMENT AND COMMUNITY FUN WITH PARTICIPATORY EVENTS, SIDE SHOWS, DISPLAY STANDS, FOOD, DRINKS, & MUSIC
.
Below are just some of the attractions envisaged but more are expected:-

  • Ford Performance Cars
  • Fairground Rides
  • “It’s a Knockout”
  • Model Aircraft Displays
  • Shire Horses
  • Chocolate Tree
  • Glass Bead Lampwork Display
  • Vintage and Car Displays
  • Golfing Displays
  • Dog Shows
  • Army Parachute Drop
  • Tug-of-War
  • Morris Dancers
  • Falconry Display
  • Dance Displays
  • Local Band Performances
  • Horticultural Displays
  • Face Painting etc., etc..

The whole event will be supported by a FREE multi-page full colour programme, which will be distributed by local Scouts, to literally thousands of households within Grove and Wantage.

We are now looking for local businesses to provide sponsorship for this very worthwhile event by advertising in that programme. Advertising costs are as follows:-

£150.00 (Full page - 140mm wide x 200mm deep)
£100.00 (Half page - 140mm wide x 100mm deep)
£60.00 (Qrtr page - 70mm wide x 100mm deep)

Assistance with advertising artwork can be provided upon request.
