A difficult start to the season didn't let up as Grove U14s welcomed Chinnor U14s to the Fortress on Sunday.

Grove off the back of a losing run faced a strong, in form Chinnor team in the first head to head between the sides.

Chinnor started the game strong and built an early lead with 2 quick tries, before Grove hit back with their own, a competitive and passionate game of rugby followed with the scores at 22 all with 10 minutes to go. Unfortunately a serious injury to one of Chinnor's players resulted in the abandonment of the game and a draw was a fair result.

We are pleased to confirm that the injured player is recovering well and the injury was not as serious as first feared.
