After a summer break, rugby returns to Grove RFC this weekend. Pre-season friendlies get underway alongside our Mini and Junior Open Day, and there’s a place for every age group at Grove Rugby Club, Recreation Ground, Wantage, Oxfordshire.

SATURDAY - MEN’S PRE-SEASON FRIENDLY

The Men’s 1st and 2nd XV return to action away at Oxford RFC in their first pre-season fixture of the year. Kick off 3:00pm, Oxford RFC, OX20 1JN.

SUNDAY - LADIES PRE-SEASON TRAINING

Grove Ladies continue pre-season training with a session at 12:30pm at Grove RFC. The squad welcomes several new faces this season, and there’s a warm invite to anyone thinking about giving rugby a go, returning to the game, or joining a great group of women on and off the pitch. New players always welcome, no experience needed.

SUNDAY - MINI & JUNIOR OPEN DAY

Our Mini and Junior section returns for the new season with an Open Day starting at 10:00am at Grove RFC. Whether your child has never played rugby before and wants to try it for the first time, or has played elsewhere and is looking for a new club, Grove is the place to be.

Our RFU trained coaches will be on hand throughout the day welcoming children from Reception age right through to Colts at U18. There’s a team for every age group this season, including our U12 Girls, who are looking to welcome new players into the squad.

No kit, no experience, and no rugby knowledge needed. Just come along, say hello, and give it a try.
