There is plenty happening at Grove RFC this weekend, with junior and ladies fixtures, minis rugby, girls’ rugby opportunities and a Kids’ Halloween Party at our Grove clubhouse during half term.

Based in Grove, near Wantage, Grove RFC welcomes players and families from across South Oxfordshire and the Vale of White Horse. Here is everything happening at the club this weekend.

Friday 30 October: Kids’ Halloween Party at Grove RFC

Looking for something fun for the kids this half term? Join us at Grove Rugby Club on Friday 30 October, from 3pm to 6pm, for our Kids’ Halloween Party Afternoon.

We have an afternoon of party games, music and Halloween activities planned. Fancy dress is optional, so come along in your favourite costume or simply join in the fun.

Entry is free, food will be available, and some activities carry a small charge.

You do not need to be a Grove RFC member to attend. Bring the kids, invite their friends and join us at the club for a fun-filled Halloween afternoon. Everyone is welcome!

Saturday 31 October: Senior Rugby

There are no fixtures for either the Men’s 1st XV or Men’s 2nd XV this Saturday.

Sunday 1 November: Junior and Ladies Rugby

Our junior and ladies teams are back in action on Sunday, with fixtures at home and away.

Under 13s

The U13s travel to Faringdon for a cup game, kicking off at 11:30am. Good luck to the team!

Under 15s (Didcot and Grove Titans)

The Titans welcome Marlborough to Grove for a home fixture, kicking off at 12:30pm. Come along and support the team.

Under 16s

The U16s have a training session this Sunday as they continue their development.

Colts

There is no Colts fixture this weekend.

Grove RFC Ladies

Our Ladies welcome Wallingford/Gosford AB to Grove for a 2pm kick-off. Come down and support the team.

Minis Rugby: Joint Training at Abingdon

Our minis are heading to Abingdon Rugby Club on Sunday 1 November for a joint training session for our U7 to U12 age groups.

Joint training is a great opportunity for the children to develop their rugby skills, meet players from another club and enjoy their rugby together.

Our U6s will remain at Grove RFC for their usual training session.

Girls Rugby: Pitch Up and Play

We are continuing to build opportunities for girls to enjoy rugby at Grove RFC through our girls’ rugby Pitch Up and Play sessions.

This Sunday the U12 girls welcome teams across Oxfordshire, Bucks and Berkshire for a day of girls rugby.

It is a great opportunity for girls to try rugby, meet other players and discover what being part of a team is all about.

We are building a pathway for girls from minis rugby through junior girls’ teams and ultimately into our Ladies XV. Girls from Grove, Wantage and surrounding villages are welcome to find out more.

Join Grove RFC

Whether your child is just starting out, you are interested in girls’ rugby, or you are an adult looking to return to the game, Grove RFC would love to welcome you.

We offer rugby for children, juniors, girls, ladies and adults across Grove, Wantage, Abingdon and the wider South Oxfordshire area.

Good luck to all our teams this weekend, and we look forward to seeing you at Grove RFC for rugby, community spirit and half-term Halloween fun!
