The day started with a minute's silence for George Starling - an ex Grove player - and the focus and attitude set the tone for the day.
The forwards continued their domination within the scrum from the previous match and had more than a handful of strikes against the head which gave the backs a chance to shine in the sun. It was a team performance that allowed all of the players to get involved and it was pleasing to see that all of the tries came from the backs because the forwards had given them plenty of quick ball.
The confidence flowed through the team and the first up tackle count was a huge improvement as were the completed passes. The running lines, timing of passes, mauling and counter rucking were the strengths of the day and as always there were plenty of things to work on for the forthcoming games and these will be addressed in training.
Well done boys, the coaching staff are very proud of you.
