25th September sees a good win for Grove 2nds

Grove 2nds, captained by Roger Sevier given the absence of regular, brilliant, inspirational leader Jon North, won a closely contested match against Redingensians 4ths on Sat 25th September. Due to Grove 1sts being awarded a walkover a strengthened 2nd team were able to overhaul Redingensians 4ths 17 : 38 at Reading. Readingensians made a real fight of it and the scores progressed evenly up to 17 : 17 but thanks to determined play Grove were able to pull away in the second half.

Roger Sevier (5 conversions + 1 penalty).

The referee missed one conversion hence the difference in the scores.

Two red cards, one to each side, were handed out by the ref but at the end of the match these were both downgraded to yellow.
