The GRFC "Buy a Brick" campaign got underway yesterday and was an instant success, selling well over 100 'bricks' on its first day!
The idea is for club members, visitors etc., to buy 'virtual bricks' in the proposed clubhouse development, which should eventually see the current clubhouse being completely refurbished with a second storey being erected, to provide much better facilities for all.
For every 80 virtual bricks sold there will be a draw, using those 80 numbers, and the buyer of the winning brick number will receive a prize from behind the bar. The draws will be done monthly, along with the Lottery draw, and the winners will be announced accordingly.
Along with other fund raising initiatives, such as The Extravaganzas and the Lottery, the Buy a Brick campaign goes to show how the club is itself helping to raise funds from within to support the proposed development. This is vitally important if we are to secure the kind of loans, grants etc., that we will need to be able to pay for the proposed development.
So, with this in mind please buy a brick every time you visit the clubhouse. They are only £1.00 each and can be bought from behind the bar.
All proceeds will go towards the clubhouse development fund.
