Reading (36) vs. Grove (39)
With neither club worried about relegation one might have thought the match between Reading and Grove would take on the air of a 'friendly' but nothing could have been further from the truth with both sides tearing into each other with ferocity.
The first half belonged to Reading who with the sun and the wind at their backs and a very strong forwards display, dominated the match.
Reading built up a substantial lead, going ahead 19-5 and 31-17, with their tries coming from Paul Chapman's son Ashley Chapman(2), Jordan Gomez, Tim Macnaughton and Peter Czernuszka. In addition Andrew Tweedie kicked four conversions and a penalty.
Grove came back strongly in the second half though to finally edge the thriller with just minutes to go. Grove scorers were flanker Dave Wells (3 trys), centre Tom Clipsham (1 try), scrum half Joe Chivers (1 try), Prop Cash Chivers (1 try), wing Guy Nicholl (1 try + 1 conversion), centre Henry Day (1 conversion).
