Although 'Team Sev' were pipped into second place in the Its a Knockout competition by Grove RFC we still managed to make a bucket collection which yielded £61.45 for our nominated charity. Last year Willow provided its 10,000th Special Day for young adults living with life-threatening conditions such as cancer, motor neurone disease, cystic fibrosis and Huntington’s disease. At a time of uncertainty, a Special Day provides the inspiration to make every moment count. For some people it is a positive focus away from diagnosis and treatment and may be a final chance to create lasting memories. For others, it can mark the recovery from a serious illness, boost confidence and provide motivation to move forward with their lives.

“A huge thank you for everything you have done for me. We had an amazing time. We did nothing, just relaxed, had space to talk and just be us without all the children. It was amazing – I came back with lots more energy and ready to crack on with the next phase of treatment. It was a real turning point for me.”
