Girls' rugby is alive and kicking at Grove RFC and we have an Under 15s (ages 12-15) team and U18s (15-17) looked after by CRB (Criminal Records Bureau) checked, Level one trained coaches. All the girls play in the Thames Valley Cluster League which has a series of matches against other counties in the region. The teams comprise girls from all of the Oxfordshire clubs playing together and the matches are designed to help all girls, whatever their ability, to learn and improve their rugby skills. Girls who prove good enough may be selected for the County Squad. From the County team they may get selected to try for the South East Region and hopefully the England Development squad! Girls of any ability are welcome to come and join us at the Grove for training on Sunday mornings at 10.30am. However, because of the itinerant nature of the squads it is advisable to check the fixtures list as we are often at matches elsewhere.
