Grove RFC Safeguarding

At Grove Rugby Club we take our Safeguarding responsibilities very seriously. Our Safeguarding Policy aims to protect the welfare of all children and vulnerable adults associated with our Club.

Our Safeguarding Pledge:

1) Safeguarding is the responsibility of EVERYONE at the Club. We take every concern seriously and encourage you to report or speak about anything you are worried about.

2) Every member of Grove RFC who works with children will have the following:

  • Preliminary chat with Safeguarding Officer and Chairman at Volunteer Recruitment stage
  • Introduction to Safeguarding training
  • Full DBS check

All of our Minis and Juniors Coaches will also undergo the following training:

Official RFU ‘Play it Safe’ training

3) We will have a confidential and anonymous safeguarding referral system in place that is easily accessible by all

4) We will take every concern seriously and respond within 7 working days

5) The Club Safeguarding Officer (CSO) is a member of the Grove RFC Board and will ensure safeguarding is reflected in every aspect of the Club

6) We will conduct quarterly reviews with club members, children and parents about our policy, their understanding of it and how we can do more
